* - In the 1966 Sept - Oct American Racing "Wheeler Dealer" there is a writeup showing a sand cast prototype of the Aluminum Standard.
The wheel is not in the 1966 Catalog or the 1966 price list # 661 - 1 Jan 1966 not in the 1 July 1966 price catalog # 662.
The 1967 Catalog does show the Aluminum Standard 15 x 7 & 8.5 at a retail cost of $ 65.00 each

The back side of all original American Racing Aluminum Torq Thrust wheels wheels had script cast into each wheel. A practice they still have today.
** If it does not say American Racing - - Then its not !!
14 x 7 Round Spoke Back Side

The 14 x 6 and 7 inch Aluminum Torq Thrust wheels came either Pointed or Round spoke. There was a differance in the back side of the spokes.
** No 15 inch Aluminum Torq Thrust wheels had the round spoke **

In 1968 American Racing cut the center area in hub to enable the Torq Thrust wheels to clear disc brakes.
That did not change the name of the wheel nor the part number. All 5 sizes or original Torq Thrusts got the extra machining.
15 x 6 Sport Wheel Pictures # 103 & 109 = 15x6 American Racing Torq Thrust wheel. If you look at the back side it says Sport Wheel. The 15" wheels do not have the rib in center of spokes like the 14" straight spoke wheel.
